Working Principle of Activated Carbon Adsorber
After collection, organic exhaust gases enter the activated carbon adsorber under negative pressure generated by the blower. Activated carbon adsorption utilizes the principle of attraction inherent in the material's porous structure. Due to the presence of unbalanced saturated molecular forces or chemical bond forces on the solid surface, when this surface contacts gas molecules, it attracts them, concentrating and retaining them on the solid surface—a phenomenon known as adsorption. The activated carbon adsorption method employed in this process utilizes this property of solid surfaces. When waste gas contacts the high-surface-area, porous activated carbon, pollutants in the waste gas are adsorbed onto the solid surface of the activated carbon. This separates them from the gas mixture, achieving purification.
